i just ventured downtown to get my student i.d. it was easy enough to find once i got to the building (where ‘star trek’ was shown) as there were several guys outside to direct me to the basement.
outside the auditorium:
i only had to wait 5 minutes or so. i wish it had been longer as i was sweaty from power walking up there. the guy taking the pictures was dreamy and charming and i have a crush on him. i should’ve taken HIS picture, but i’m not quite that bold. yet.
after i got my shiny new GRAD STUDENT i.d., i walked up the hill to visit the building where all my classes will be this fall semester: 540 powell street.
some student art and my classrooms:
just outside:
the security guard was probably my age, if not younger and sassy. i bantered with him for a while and convinced him to give me a locker though i haven’t yet gone to the administration building to get the ‘rental agreement’. i chose #44 (the best one) and then wandered around, found my classrooms and took some pictures.
it was exciting! tomorrow i’ll meet the president and my department and the other students studying with me. that should be fun. i’m looking forward to it. after that, i don’t think i’ll participate in any more orientation things. oh that’s not true. i’ll be going to the ‘financial aid workshop’ which will be interesting since i’m pretty sure these people eat their young. and THAT is something to see.
