dreams to remember

i'm sitting in the airport, waiting to board my flight to las vegas with a connection to san francisco, and i re-remembered my dream. i'm charging my ipod and using the fantastically slow free wi-fi that dia offers.
i could write it down, but my bags are packed to the gills and my computer's right here, so i may as well share.
i find myself justifying my posts to myself, and sometimes to you, dear reader. and i shouldn't apologize. i should just shut up and type.

this was a dream of much transport. i was a constant passenger in a car. driving down a country road, in the late winter as there was just a dappling of snow beyond the dry road, beneath the bare trees.
the point of the dream i'll talk about took place while i was in the back, left seat. and the driver was on the right. the driver was a young male, maybe my age, i don't know who, but i was comfortable with him as he drove me around. i looked out my window and saw a crow flying right next to me. an albino crow. i squealed 'an ALBINO crow!' and rolled down the window.
the crow seemed to be waiting for this as it flew right in. within dream moments, it had shrunk down to the size of a hummingbird and was flying madly around the car, gently banging on the windows, so i let it out again and it was gone.
i woke up and then fell asleep again and found myself answering the phone. 'hello, steve martin' i said. we were best friends and he was calling to offer me a ride to the airport, which i accepted. i never made it to the point in the dream where the service was performed, though. pity. steve martin is so cool.
