jack and the beanstalk

jack's turn around. yes that's jack. yes, she's a she. inventor, tinkerer, and all around lovely lady. sassy, brave, brilliant. her father's daughter.

this is corva, jack's rescued raven, outfitted with two of jack's constructions. she helps around the workshop.

he's the giant cyclops. he's a dapper gent. a chemist and creator of a mysterious power source coveted by jack's deceased father, whom jack finds after picking up her father's trail.

this is mother. she's a black widow, in mourning for her husband, disapproving of her daughter's 'un-ladylike' ways and blames her for the death of her husband. she's become sinister and bitter and hateful. i love her.

the first scene, part gouache, part photoshop brilliance (not mine, well SOME mine. but not the brilliant part). jack rides through the foggy night, incognito, to rescue the giant.

jack sneaks through her mother's house (or lair, the spider's web) to find documents of her father's, hidden by her sneaky mother.

all of these are works in progress and were my first attempts at photoshop. i'm continuing to clean them up in attempts to make them awesome and learn more about the crazy, genius software.
