i can't remember exactly WHO this is, but isn't she lovely?! and that's MY finger holding that syringe. i KNOW! my mondays partly consist of driving on the edge between town and farms to a wildlife rehabilitation facility. i spend four or five hours feeding squirrels, baby birds and cleaning and 'refreshing' cages. the squirrels are the best part, though they only breed twice a year and we're now on the tail end of our baby squirrel intake time. it makes me a little sad, but now i'll get to train for raccoons.
i'm quite excited.
i can't quite get over how cool my first experience with volunteering is. so. cool.

This is freakin adorable. tiny tiny little baby squirrel fingers. one day you will be rewarded for your kindness . . . some day when you're walking in a park and you catch the shifty eye of a squirrel prancing about, all you'll have to do is wink and you'll immediately have an army of bushy-tailed mercenaries to obey your every command. (i suggest something involving elaborate bank heists.)
ReplyDeletegood work.
