i saw 'toy story 3' today. i sat in the back,
next to a young-ish couple and their 5-ish
year old daughter. the theatre was packed.
the kids were pretty well behaved and quiet.
i laughed (out loud!) i cried (or, i got choked-up
and teary on at LEAST 3 occasions). it was
tense, full of action and adventure and love and
creepiness! the little girl next to me was burying
her face at a couple points that are seriously freaky.
(it reminded me of not being able to handle 'mr. toad's
wild ride' at disneyland.)
but it was so very lovely. so so wonderful. go. go see it.
asap.
hopefully this won't spoil anything
too big, but if you want to be surprised,
don't watch this. the short before the
movie is unlike anything i've ever seen.
so simple, yet so complex and BIZARRE.
but great, obvs.
so, SPOILER ALERT.
i like the interviews and that they
watched all the prison escape
movies they could find. pixar's
cool like that.
this is the short that i got to see
on my little visit to pixar. love it.
