new year's day i went with two of melissa's friends to pick her up at the airport at 1am. we then went up to sebastopol to giggle, sleep and pick up el fuego, which i took down to see my sister, who has moved, with her family, only 4 hours south. HOORAY!
her husband, ryan, was training for his new position in new york for 2 weeks, so i came down to, i dunno, hang out really. i tried to help with the duties, but sullivan is so tiring. he's 16 months old and the ultimate rascal. we were wiped out. and i don't even have pregnancy to blame, like my crazy sister who's having another boy in june. a mild-tempered, relaxed boy.
the first day we went into town, which i think anne refers to as 'the village' (?) and saw the resident roosters that hang about, played on the swinging bridge, the old tractor, in the gazebo, etc...
there was lots of playing with an assortment of balls. here sully shows how he doesn't like to get things on his hands.
best friends on the way to watch the sun set at the park.
more balls at the park.
mom and son being adorable.
fun bath-time after a long day.
and that was it. we made some kind of dinner and crashed, watching tv until bedtime. all in all, day 1 was a success!
oh, no kidding? another one on the way? exciting!
